Thoughts of the Day: Passion and Purpose
Today, I want to talk about passion. You need to find inner fire that can come from anywhere—a hobby, a goal, a job, family. I believe that if you don't find something that ignites you - you'll never feel truly fulfilled. When we discover what we’re passionate about, setting and achieving goals becomes more meaningful and rewarding.
Finding passion isn’t always immediate; it took me years to recognize mine is endurance sport and especially running. At first, it was just about consistency, pushing myself to lace up even when I didn’t feel like it. Over time, that effort grew into something deeper. Now, there’s a thrill every time I plan for a marathon, train, and then finally race—those moments when everything clicks and I’m fully engaged with the goal.
I believe many people haven’t found their passion yet, and that’s okay. It takes curiosity, trial and error, and persistence. But it’s worth the journey. So here’s my advice:
- Seek Your Passion: Try new things, stay curious, and see what excites you.
- Set Goals Within It: Align your goals with what drives you.
- Don’t Give Up: Finding passion is a journey; sometimes it’s a slow burn rather than an instant spark.
Tomorrow’s challenge: my first half-marathon pace test to see what I’ll need to hit my sub-1:30 goal in 2025. Looking forward to it!
