I don’t have too many reflections for today. At this point, having completed 7 runs in a row, it’s hard to imagine not finishing the challenge now. There’s a certain rhythm to getting up and running every morning – everything just seems to flow better. Work becomes easier, breakfast tastes better, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about getting the hard things done early in the day.

I also want to give a quick shout-out to my Brooks Glycerin shoes. I’m really glad I brought two pairs of running shoes with me on this trip. Over the years, I’ve tried almost every brand on the market and have a collection of about 10-12 pairs of shoes that I rotate between. I’ll admit, I’m mildly addicted to running shoes and endurance gear, but what I’ve realized is that I always return to that basic more responsive shoe. My first ever pair was the Mizuno Wave Rider, and I was loyal to that brand for years before experimenting with others like On Running and many more. But, in the end, I’ve learned that I don’t need much – I like my shoes firm, light, and breathable, and the Brooks Glycerin checks all those boxes. They’ve held up really well in the humid conditions here, and I’ve had no blisters or soreness. That’s a big win for me!

Anyway, I don’t want to keep this post too long today. Tomorrow, I’ll dive into some of the tracking tools on garmin and share which ones I’ve found useful.

Catch you tomorrow!
