Day 28: Steady Progress and the Power of Discipline 🙏🏻

Day 28: Steady Progress and the Power of Discipline 🙏🏻

This morning was a straightforward base run to keep things light after yesterday’s tempo session and to continue building my aerobic system.

Stats:

  • Distance: 5.21 km
  • Heart Rate: 133 bpm
  • Pace: 5:46/km
  • Total Time: 30:03
  • Sleep Score: 76 (7 hours, 5 minutes)
  • VO2 Max: 53
  • Endurance Score: 6247

Not much to highlight from this one. I felt good, like I could push more, but I stayed disciplined, keeping it steady and easy. These low-intensity sessions are crucial for long-term endurance building, and while I know there’s room for more high-intensity training in the future, this challenge has been more about laying a strong foundation.

Even with some fatigue creeping in, I’m proud to say I’ve avoided injuries and have been consistent every day. Now, only two days remain in the challenge!

The Power of Discipline

One of my biggest strengths is discipline, and I believe it’s one of the most important factors for anyone striving to improve, whether in endurance sports or life in general.

Everybody says discipline is so important, but they never want to tell you why.

I’ll tell you why discipline is so important:

It is the strongest form of self-love. It’s ignoring something you want right now for something better later on. Discipline reveals the commitment you have to your dreams. Especially on days where you don’t want to.

The future you is depending on the current you to keep the promises you made to yourself yesterday.

With only two days left, I’m motivated to finish strong and stay true to the vision I’ve committed to. Let’s keep going. 👊
