Day 23: Part II - Not Dead Yet đ
I managed to get out for a short evening run today, starting at around 7:20 PM. It was completely dark, and honestly, not the most enjoyable experience. My legsâespecially the right calf muscleâwere still in pain, but I pushed through. The streak continues, and I didnât throw in the towel!
Here are the stats for tonightâs run:
đââď¸ Distance: 3.62 km
âąď¸ Total Time: 23:38
⥠Pace: 6:32/km
â¤ď¸ Avg. HR: 124 BPM
It wasnât a great run physically; the tiredness from the last 23 days is really catching up to me. But mentally, it was a solid victory. Sometimes, just getting out there and moving forward is the win.
One thing I realized tonight is how much I appreciate morning runs. Evening runs have their charm, but when youâre on a challenge or a structured training plan, thereâs something special about starting the day with a run. It sets the tone, clears the mind, and lets you go through the rest of the day without that âI still need to get my run inâ feeling. If I didnât already know this, tonight just confirmed itâmorning runs are my thing.
Tomorrow, itâs time for the 10K. Letâs see how it goes.
