Day 22: Finding Inspiration đź’Ż
This morning, I kept it simple with a base run. It’s a lead-up to tomorrow’s long session—most likely the 10K. My legs were sore, which isn’t surprising given the past weeks, but today’s long stretching session will definitely help.
One thing that really stood out was how my sleep impacted my performance. Last night was a rough one, with constant interruptions. Worst sleep score of the challenge so far. A quick reminder to myself and anyone reading: don’t leave your phone within arm’s reach when you’re trying to sleep. It’s too tempting, and last night, I paid the price for falling into that trap.
On a brighter note, here’s something I’ve been consistent with: mobility and core work. Over the past year, I’ve added 20-30 minutes of stretching, yoga, or core exercises to my routine 7 days a week—4 days for stretching/yoga and 3 for core. It’s a game-changer for overall stability and injury prevention. If you’re looking to add something like this to your routine, start small. Even 5-10 minutes can make a huge difference if you commit to it.

Finding Inspiration
Let’s talk about inspiration. It’s something many of us chase, but the truth is, it doesn’t just magically show up when we need it. Especially when it comes to something like running—or any endurance sport—you can’t rely on waking up inspired every day.
Inspiration starts with action. Plan your workouts, make systems that set you up for success, and create habits that align with your goals. Once you have those in place, you’ll unlock what feels like true inspiration—but really, it’s the product of consistency and preparation.
Yes, you can draw inspiration from others—their achievements, their stories—but the most lasting inspiration comes from within. The more structured your system, the easier it becomes to make the right decisions day after day. And those decisions compound, fueling your sense of inspiration and self-belief.
In short, inspiration isn’t magic; it’s built through action. And once you’ve found it, you can inspire others in return.
Enjoy the weekend, and keep finding (or creating) your inspiration.
Peace, Pace ✌️
