This morning’s easy aerobic base run felt good. I’m beginning to feel asense of effortlessness when I run. Enough to make me feel like I could keep going. If time and circumstances allowed, I’m certain I could tackle a longer run without my legs rebelling.
With two weeks left on the island, I’m optimistic about finishing strong. Tomorrow’s run will be a tempo effort, potentially a progressive session where I start slow and finish fast.
Thoughts on the Run
Today’s run gave me time to reflect on my professional future. In just over a month, I’ll be back home, and the question looms: what’s next?
For years, I’ve dreamed of becoming self-employed—building something of my own in the endurance world. Coaching, community-building, speaking, or even creating a brand centered around helping others achieve their goals excites me. Yet, like so many aspiring entrepreneurs, I find myself stuck on the edge, hesitating to leap into the unknown.
Financial security, career progress, and the comfort of the familiar are hard to let go. But I’ve realized that these aren’t what truly make me happy. What fuels me is unlocking potential—not just my own, but others’ as well.
This blog is a step toward that vision. Sharing my journey here isn’t just cathartic; it’s also about building an audience, a community, and perhaps a new income stream down the line. While I don’t yet have the full picture of what this will look like, I know I want to change my day to day life.
I want to prove myself not only in sport but also in building something meaningful professionally. For now, I’ll focus on small, consistent steps: writing, refining my vision, and figuring out how to transition from the 9-to-5 grind to something that aligns with my passions.
Enjoy your runs!
