Day 12: Just Ones of Those Days ✔

Day 12: Just Ones of Those Days ✔

Today's run was one of those where getting through it felt like an accomplishment in itself. You know the ones—the ones that feel a bit off but are good to have behind you. In my experience, these kinds of days are just unavoidable. It’s all about pushing through and looking ahead to the next one.

I went to bed later than usual last night because, sometimes work events are worth the late hours. I was glad to be there, but it definitely cost me this morning, and I’m pretty sure that’s why today’s run felt a bit sluggish.

This morning’s run made me consider something that’s been on my mind for some time now: quitting alcohol. I don’t drink much, but when I do often too much! That slight "off" feeling I woke up with today was a reminder of why cutting it out altogether has its appeal. It’s been a decision I’ve toyed with on and off—but haven't found the curage to quit just yet.
Certainly, a great benefit of running is that it motivates you to improve your overall health and fitness.

Looking Ahead: Races and Goals for 2025

I’ve signed up for my first race of the new year! It’s a 15-kilometer trail run in March, and I’ll be running it with my family. No speed goals or pressure for this one—just looking forward to the shared experience.

Then, the big challenge will come in August with a 30-kilometer tough trail race. Later in the year, I’m aiming for a sub-1:30 half marathon in Oslo in September. Those are the big goals, but I’ll probably add a few more runs along the way.

I’m looking forward to feeling stronger on tomorrow's run.
